SHOCKING!! India doctors remove 232 teeth from boy's mouth

Indian teenager Ashik Gavai with some of his 232 teeth

Doctors in India have extracted 232 teeth from the mouth of a 17-year-old boy in a seven-hour operation.
Ashik Gavai was brought in with a swelling in his right jaw, Dr Sunanda Dhiware, head of Mumbai's JJ Hospital's dental department, told the BBC.

The teenager had been suffering for 18 months and travelled to the city from his village after local doctors failed to identify the cause of the problem.
Doctors have described his condition as "very rare" and "a world record".

'Small white pearls'

"Ashik's malaise was diagnosed as a complex composite odontoma where a single gum forms lots of teeth. It's a sort of benign tumour," Dr Dhiware said.

"At first, we couldn't cut it out so we had to use the basic chisel and hammer to take it out.
"Once we opened it, little pearl-like teeth started coming out, one-by-one. Initially, we were collecting them, they were really like small white pearls. But then we started to get tired. We counted 232 teeth," she added.
The surgery, conducted on Monday, involved two surgeons and two assistants. The team was led by Dr Vandana Thorawade who heads the hospital's ENT (ear, nose and throat) department. Ashik now has 28 teeth.
Describing Ashik's case as "very rare", Dr Dhiware said she had "not seen anything like this before in my 30-year career", but said she was "thrilled to get such an exciting case".
"According to medical literature available on the condition, it is known to affect the upper jaw and a maximum of 37 teeth have been extracted from the tumour in the past. But in Ashik's case, the tumour was found deep in the lower jaw and it had hundreds of teeth."
Ashik's father Suresh Gavai was quoted by the Mumbai Mirror as saying that his son complained of severe pain a month ago.
"I was worried that it may turn out to be cancer so I brought him to Mumbai," he said.

11 Things You Should Never, Ever Put Inside Your v**ina

Harbiodinho.com-ladysV-
Don’t even think about it.
We’re pretty attached to our v**ina, especially since it brings so much fun into our lives. But we keep trying to bring some really inappropriate things into the fun.

While we may think it’s exciting and kinky to be adding foods and shiny toys to play time, we really need to be a lot more careful about what goes in there, specifically, these ten things:

1. Fruit and vegetables
Bananas and cucumbers have been notoriously labeled as the “naughty” or a “let me try that just once” gadget due to its shape, size, and easy accessibility during experimental years.

But Dr. Yvonka, a clinical sexologist, warns against it: “This is a big no-no and can be quite risky health-wise due to the variety of little critters and bacteria it is exposed to!”

No matter how well you clean those fruits and veggies, chances are they’re still carrying around critters, dirt, and bacteria. Food in general is a good idea to keep above the belt, not below.
Just because they’re man-hood-shaped doesn’t mean they belong near your v**ina.

2. Douches
Douching can reduce natural bacteria in the v**ina, introduce foreign bacteria, and irritate the mucous lining.
It’s also been scientifically linked to pelvic inflammatory disease, chlamydia, gonorrhea, bacterial vaginitis, cervical cancer, reduced fertility, and ectopic pregnancy, says Taylor Stokes, a sexpert at Free Your V.

3. Hair dye
Sure, we all want to show men our pink, heart-shaped welcome mat. But beware: our skin down there is way more sensitive than on our head, meaning hair-dye related burns and irritations are far more likely.
And if you’re really adamant about dyeing your pubic hair, do your research first and find products that are free of irritants.

4. Certain lubricants
Lubes that contain parabens, petrochemicals, DEA, glycerin, methylisothiazolinone, and fragrance are a big no-no. Many of these ingredients are linked to cancer, hormone balance disruption, and skin irritations, says Stokes.
Also be aware that oil-based lubes are thicker and harder to cleanse out of your lady parts, which can lead to infection.

5. Living things
Whatever floats your boat, ladies. But just realize that animals may decide they like it better in your v**ina and stick around, says Jason S. James, M.D., and medical director of FemCare Ob-Gyn, LLC.
I mean, should “animals” and “your v**ina” even be used in the same sentence

6. Sharp objects
“I’ve heard of knitting needles getting stuck,” says Dr. James. This also includes fragile items like light bulbs and glass bottles.

7. Dirty toilet paper
Ladies, this goes without saying, but ALWAYS wipe front to back. Not doing so can result in fecal matter making its way into your v**ina, leading to infection.

8. Medications
Medications, drugs, and alcohol can become absorbed in too high quantities because the v**ina is very vascular and absorbs chemicals very efficiently, says Dr. James.
There’s an urban legend about women placing vodka-laced tampons in their v**ina to absorb the martini-buzz into their bloodstream. But NO, this is NOT a good idea.

9. Soft plastic s*x toys
Because s*x toys are sold as “novelty items,” they’re not FDA-regulated for body safety. Many toy manufacturers don’t even list the ingredients in their toys, leaving us in the dark about what we’re putting into and around our vaginas.

“Many soft plastic/rubber toys are made with phthalates, some of which have been designated as possible human carcinogens,” says Dr. Emily Morse, a s*x expert.
These softer plastic, rubber, or “jelly-like” s*x toys can undergo wear and tear, and develop cuts and nicks that tiny microbes and infection-causing bacteria can live in, says Morse.

10. Bodies of water
Pools and jacuzzis seem like an inviting environment for s*x …

But “These man-made recreational bodies of water are always chlorinated, and chlorine may disrupt the natural pH balance in the v**ina. Lakes, ponds, rivers, streams, and all natural bodies of water are host to a whole gang of microbes and bacteria that can be harmful to the v**ina.

s*x in these bodies of water can force this bacteria into the v**ina, leaving it vulnerable to bacterial infections, irritation, etc.,” says Morse.

So, ladies, be careful with what you put down below.

Ladies; See 5 Reasons Why Your Vag!na Is Going Dry, MUST READ!!!

1. Your Body Craves More Foreplay
The typical rom-com s3x scene goes from locking lips to full-on !ntercourse in about 30 seconds. In the real world, we call b.s.—most women need at least a little more direct stimulation before they’re wet enough for penetrat1on, says Dweck.

2. You’re Stressed Out

Stress takes the blame for a lot of health issues, and you can add vag1nal dryness to the list. If it doesn’t temporarily kill your lib!do outright, feeling anxious or pressured can make it harder to get turned on, says Dweck. Once the stress lifts, your juices should start flowing.

3. You’re on Cold Meds

“Over-the-counter cold and allergy formulas contain antihistamines that dry out the mucus membranes in your nose, as well as your vag1na,” says Dweck. Not all women experience it, but it can happen, and things will moisten up again once you stop dosing up.

4. Your Birth Control Pill Is Messing With You

“One little-known side effect of oral contracept1ves is reduced vag1nal lubrication,” says Dweck. And unlike some other side effects that happen when you first go on the Pill, this one probably won’t clear up in a few months. “I’ll usually advise my patients to use store-bought lubricant, or if it’s really uncomfortable, consider going off the Pill and trying another type of birth control,” she says.

5. You Just Had a Baby
Giving birth (and breastfeeding, too) does a number on your body and changes your s3x life in unexpected ways, including lowering levels of estrogen—the hormone responsible for maintaining v@ginal lubrica tion. A few months post-birth, when your regular cycle returns and you stop lactating, the slippery stuff will be back.

MUST READ – See What Happens When You Eat Too Much Salt (Photos)

Our bodies need a certain amount of sodium to survive, and one of the most common ways we get it is in salt. About 40% of what’s in your table salt is sodium.
Salt does more than just take that caramel cookie to the next level. Healthy levels of it in the body also help keep our blood pressure under control and ensure that our muscles and nerves function properly.

Each person reacts to salt differently. But generally, physicians agree that if you want to control high blood pressure, you should limit your salt intake, and not doing so can be unhealthy.

Happiness Doesn’t Lead to Longer, Healthier Life, Study Says

Whether happy or sad your mood does not directly influence how long you’ll live according to the latest study by University of Oxford researchers

For the study, which was published this week in The Lancet, Liu and her colleagues analyzed data collected from more than 700,000 British women, aged 55 to 63, who had been recruited into the University of Oxford’s Million Women Study between 1996 and 2001. But the researchers argue that it may actually be the other way around – that poor health often leads to higher levels of unhappiness.
According to study authors, poor health may be the thing that comes first, and can make a person unhappy, stressed, or feel out of control. However, the researchers also found out that women who said that they were happy had the same chances of dying as the women who said that they were unhappy.
An analysis of those answers revealed that women were more likely to report being happy if they were older, physically active, and not economically deprived, and if they did not smoke, got adequate sleep (but not too much), had a partner, and either belonged to a religious group or participated in social activities. The researchers found that happiness and similar measures of a well-being did not have a direct effect on human mortality rates. After a decade of tracking the women, 4 percent had died. “Cross-cultural studies could also shed light on the generalisability of interventions to promote happiness”. She explained that illness can make people unhappy, but unhappiness does not make people ill.
However, the huge sample size of the study proves that unhappiness is not a direct cause of any major increase in overall death rates among women.
Upon reaching the conclusion, the researchers therefore wrote in their study, “Our large prospective study shows no robust evidence that happiness itself reduces cardiac, cancer, or overall mortality”.
From survey responses and health consequences, and after allowing for differences that were already present in health and lifestyle, the death rate for happy and unhappy women was the same, the release said. This pattern persisted even for deaths caused by cancer or heart disease. They were asked questions about happiness, control, relaxation, and stress.
“Many still believe that stress or unhappiness can directly cause disease, but they are simply confusing cause and effect”, said Sir Richard Peto, of the University of Oxford

What To Do When Someone Has A Seizure(pics)

Seizure, commonly regarded as "warapa" is a neurological disorder and not a spiritual problem. Please let's try to jettison our childhood superstitious belief for once..

I just witnessed one not quite long, but to my greatest surprise, most people around evacuated that surrounding .its so painful and disheartening. I couldn't help myself but shed tears with agony. It was only myself and a brother that stayed with the victim .. After he regained consciousness he spoke with pain and wept like a day old child.. He told us this was the second time it would happen to him. He went further to ask for our assistance for him to buy his drug ( Epanutin) for just 1200naira..
To cut the story short, fellow Nigerians, this can happen to any one of us. Never run away from epileptic patients they are human beings like we do.. Here are things to do when someone develops seizure

Tonic seizures
The person goes stiff, loses consciousness and
then falls to the ground. This is followed by
jerking movements. A blue tinge around the
mouth is likely. This is due to irregular breathing.
Loss of bladder and/or bowel control may
happen. After a minute or two the jerking
movements should stop and consciousness may
slowly return.

Do...
1 Protect the person from injury - (remove harmful
objects from nearby)
2 Cushion their head
3 Look for an epilepsy identity card or identity
jewellery
4 Aid breathing by gently placing them in the
recovery position once the seizure has finished
(see pictures)
5 Stay with the person until recovery is complete
Be calmly reassuring

Don't...

1.Restrain the person’s movements
2.Put anything in the person’s mouth
3.Try to move them unless they are in danger
4.Give them anything to eat or drink until they are fully recovered
5.Attempt to bring them round

Call for an ambulance if...

You know it is the person’s first seizure, or The seizure continues for more than five minutes, or One tonic-clonic seizure follows another without the person regaining consciousness between seizures, or The person is injured during the seizure, or You believe the person needs urgent medical attention attention
